We go to Cutcombe Market on Exmoor twice a year to buy calves straight from their mothers (their age is about 9-12 months). We buy mostly Continental Cross with a Hereford or Aberdeen Angus Cross.

Within three hours of leaving the market they are safely in our shed at Tapenhall. They are fed home grown forage and cereals throughout the Winter and then in the late Spring they are turned out on grass for the Summer. They are fetched back into the sheds in October.

Adrian's ewes are a mixture of Suffolk Cross and North Country mules. He uses a Suffolk ram which produces a nicely shaped meaty lamb.
